Healthcare as it has developed and been Westernized is extremely aggravating. Part of me understands paying for my health but at the same time, it's really frustrating how expensive it is. I can easily imagine how it would be like without insurance to cover some costs; I probably wouldn't go to the doctor to get things checked out if I had to pay the full price each time. Just the price of medications alone---which are a "bet," by the way, since it's not even certain that I won't regress and need another dose of medication---makes me anxious. We've deprioritized the care, the coping, the support, and now we only invest in miracles. It's infuriating. All ties back to big business, big power, big money. Probably going to get my meds tomorrow and work at Social House.
